    The Forum is directed to people residing in the United Kingdom. We do not represent that the Forum is appropriate for use or available in other locations.

    You must keep your account details safe

    If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

    We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

    The content on the Forum is provided by us and by other users for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely.     We make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.

  8. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WEBSITES LINKED TO FROM THIS FORUM

    Where the Forum contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided (by us or other users) for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them.

    We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.

  9. We may moderate the material you post

    The Forum is fully moderated. Every Forum Post submitted to the Forum ("Forum Post") will be checked by us for compliance with our content standards set out below ("Content Standards") before or as soon as reasonably practicable after it is published. We will try to publish as many Forum Posts as we can, but we cannot guarantee that all Forum Posts will be published. We also cannot guarantee how quickly Forum Posts will be posted on the Forum as this will depend on other editorial commitments. We reserve the right to delete, amend, redact or clarify anything in any Forum Post at any time so as to ensure that these Rules are complied with.

    Although the Forum is fully moderated, we are under no obligation to you or any other person to oversee, monitor or moderate the Forum or any other service we provide on our site and we may stop moderating the Forum at any time. We expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of the Forum by any person in contravention of these Rules.

  10. Use of the Forum by CHILDREN

    The use of the Forum by a child is subject to the consent of their parent or guardian. We advise parents who permit their children to use the Forum that it is important that they communicate with their children about their safety online. Children who are using the Forum should be made aware of the potential risks to them and of their obligation to comply with these Rules when using the Forum.

    We will do our best to assess any possible risks to children from third parties when they use the Forum, and we will decide in each case whether it is appropriate to use moderation of the relevant service (including what kind of moderation to use) in the light of those risks.

    This site is not for use by children under the age of 13.

  11. Submission of Forum Posts

    To make a Forum Post you must be a registered user. You must provide true and accurate information when registering as a user of the Forum. Profile pictures should be in good taste and not breach any of the Content Standards set out below.

    There is no limit to the length of a Forum Post.

    Before making a Forum Post you must register with the Forum by completing the registration form https://forum.feed-the-beast.com/register. Your username will appear as part of your Forum Post when published.

    To enable us to publish comments from as many different people as possible, please refrain from posting multiple Forum Posts. Multiple Forum Posts may discourage others who might otherwise wish to take part.

  12. Prohibited uses

    You may not use our site:

    • In any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.

    • In any way that is unlawful or fraudulent or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect.

    • For the purpose of harming or attempting to harm children in any way.

    • To bully, insult, intimidate or humiliate any person.

    • To send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our content standards set out further below.

    • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam).

    • To knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.

    • To upload terrorist content.

    You also agree:

    • Not to create multiple Forum accounts

    • Not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of our site in contravention of the provisions of our terms of website use.

    • Not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt,:

      • any part of our site;

      • any equipment or network on which our site is stored;

      • any software used in the provision of our site; or

      • any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.

  13. Content standards

    These Content Standards apply to each part of a Forum Post as well as to its whole. The Content Standards must be complied with in spirit as well as to the letter. We and our team of moderators will determine, in our absolute discretion, whether a Forum Post breaches the Content Standards.

    A Forum Post must:

    • Be accurate (where it states facts).

    • Be genuinely held (where it states opinions).

    • Comply with the law applicable in England and Wales and in any country from which it is posted.

    • Be relevant.

    • Be respectful.

    • Be polite.

    • Be posted in the appropriate forum and relevant to the specific thread.

    A Forum Post must not:

    • Be defamatory of any person.

    • Be obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory.

    • Bully, insult, intimidate or humiliate.

    • Promote or include sexually explicit or abusive material.

    • Exploit, abuse or groom a child or children or contain any content that could be construed as advertising, recruiting, soliciting or procuring the exploitation, abuse or grooming of a child or children.

    • Promote violence.

    • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

    • Disclose the name, address, telephone, mobile or fax number, e-mail address or any other personal data in respect of any individual unless, in our opinion or that of our moderators, such information is in the public domain and the individual has consented to such information being used for the purpose used in the Forum Post.

    • Infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person.

    • Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.

    • Be in contempt of court.

    • Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person or group of people.

    • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.

    • Give the impression that the Forum Post emanates from Feed The Beast if this is not the case.

    • Advocate, promote, incite any third party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act.

    • Contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

    • Contain any political or religious statements or promote political or religious views.

    • Contain any advertising or promote any services.

    • Include any third party advertising service such as Adfly or similar.

    • Include any web links to other sites which contain content which, if posted in the Forum, would breach these content standards.

  14. Copyright

    By submitting a Forum Post to the Forum, you agree to grant Feed the Beast Limited a non-exclusive licence to use that Forum Post. Although you will still own the copyright in your Forum Post, we will have the right to freely use, edit, alter, reproduce, publish and/or distribute the material contained in your Forum Post. This Licence will be free of charge, perpetual and capable of sub-licence. We may exercise all copyright and publicity rights in the material contained in your Forum Post in all jurisdictions, to their full extent and for the full period for which any such rights exist in that material.

    Please also note that, in accordance with the Content Standards, you must ensure that your Forum Post does not infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person. By submitting your Forum Post to the Forum, you are warranting that you have the right to grant Feed the Beast Limited the non-exclusive copyright licence described above.

    If you are not in a position to grant such a licence to us, please do not submit the Forum Post to the Forum.

  15. We are not responsible for viruses and you must not introduce them

    We do not guarantee that the Forum will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

    You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access the Forum. You should use your own virus protection software.

    You must not misuse the Forum by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Forum, the server on which the Forum is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to our website. You must not attack the Forum via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Forum and our website will cease immediately.

  16. Breach of these Rules

    When we consider that a breach of these Rules has occurred, we may at our discretion take such action as we deem appropriate. Failure to comply with these Rules constitutes a material breach of the terms of use on which you are permitted to use the Forum, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

    • Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the Forum.

    • Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any Forum Post already posted on the Forum.

    • Issue of a warning to you (see below).

    • Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.

    • Further legal action against you.

    • Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law.

    Breaches of this policy will be actively monitored. Our moderators may assign any number of warning points for rule-breaking and inappropriate behavior. Warning points tot up with the following consequences:

    • 5 warning points - 1 week temporary ban from the forums

    • 10 warning points - Permanent ban from the forums.

    We reserve the right to move directly to a temporary or permanent ban if we deem, in our absolute discretion, that the conduct warrants it.

    Seeking to evade a temporary ban will lead to a permanent ban from the Forum.

    We exclude our liability for all action we may take in response to breaches of these Rules. The actions we may take are not limited to those described above, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.

  17. Complaints

    If you wish to complain about any Forum Post posted to the Forum, please contact us at <a href='mailto:[email protected]'>[email protected]</a>. We will then review the Forum Post and decide whether it complies with our Content Standards. We will deal with any Forum Post which, in our opinion, violates our Content Standards as described above (see section "Breach of these Rules"). We will inform you of the outcome of our review within a reasonable time of receiving your complaint.

  18. Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

    Whether you are a consumer or a business user:

    • We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

    If you are a business user:

    • We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to the Forum or any content on it.

    • We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:

      • use of, or inability to use, the Forum; or

      • use of or reliance on any content displayed on the Forum.

    • In particular, we will not be liable for:

      • loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;

      • business interruption;

      • loss of anticipated savings;

      • loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or

      • any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

    If you are a consumer user:

    • Please note that we only provide the Forum for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the Forum for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

  19. How we may use your personal information

  20. We may transfer this Agreement to someone else

    We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under the contract.

  21. Which country's laws apply to any disputes?

    If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

    If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  22. Our trade marks are registered

    "Feed the Beast", "FTB", "StoneBlock" and the FTB logo (below) are UK registered trade marks of Feed the Beast Ltd. You are not permitted to use them without our approval, unless they are part of material you are using as permitted under the "How you may use material on our site" section above.
