PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE DOWNLOADING AND USING ANY MODS OR MODPACKS
Who we are and how to contact us.
Feed the Beast Limited ("FTB") develops mods and mod packs ("Mods") and distributes Mods which both FTB and third parties develop (the "Services").
We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12170227 and have our registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, London, Greater London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.To contact us, please email admin(at)feed-the-beast(dot)com.
By using or DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING MODS you accept these terms
By downloading, installing or using Mods in any way, you confirm that you accept these terms and that you agree to comply with them.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not download, install or use in any way any Mods which we develop or distribute.
There are other terms that may apply to you
In addition to these terms, individual Mods created by third parties may also impose terms for their download, installation or use.
We may make changes to these terms
We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you download or install Mods, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
We may in our absolute discretion revoke your licence to use a Mod or Mods until such time as you agree to any new terms.
These terms were most recently updated on 2022/10/01Our mods are available free of charge.
We do not guarantee that Mods will always be available. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any of the Mods.
We may transfer this Agreement to someone else
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation.
We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under the contract.Our Mods are directed to people residing in the United Kingdom. We do not represent that Mods are appropriate for use in other locations.
Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you – ATTENTION! THIS SECTION IS VERY IMPORTANT AS IT LIMITS OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
Except as expressly and specifically provided in these terms:
you are solely responsible for the results obtained from the use of the Mods.
We will have no liability for any damage caused by:errors you make in the downloading and installation of the Mods;
any compatibility issues between the optimum configuration of hardware and software infrastructure and your configuration of hardware and software infrastructure;
any conflict which occurs between the Mods and any other software which you are running, save in respect of software which we state explicitly is compatible software;
all warranties, representations, conditions and all other terms of any kind whatsoever implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, excluded from this Agreement; and
the Services and the Documentation are provided to you on an "as is" basis. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability:
for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; or
for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to the preceding paragraphs of this section 7:
we shall not be liable whether in tort (including for negligence or breach of statutory duty), contract, misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise for any loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and/or similar losses or loss or corruption of data or information, or pure economic loss, or for any special, indirect or consequential loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses however arising under this Agreement; and
our total aggregate liability in contract (including in respect of the indemnity at clause 12.2), tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this Agreement shall be limited to £100.
How we may use your personal information
We will only use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy
We are not responsible for viruses
We do not guarantee that Mods will be secure or free from bugs, viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other malware.
You are responsible for configuring your software and hardware to ensure adequate protection from bugs, viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs and other malware.
our PROPRIETARY RIGHTS
Upon download of any Mod, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right, without the right to grant sublicences, of that Mod for your own personal use on these terms.
We may revoke this licence at any time on notice to you whereupon you shall delete the Mod and certify to us in writing that you have done so.You acknowledge and agree that FTB and its affiliates own all intellectual property rights in the Mods. Except as expressly set out in these terms, we do not grant you any rights to, under or in, any patents, copyright, database right, trade secrets, trade names, trademarks (whether registered or unregistered), or any other rights or licences in respect of the Mods ("IP Rights").
You agree not copy, adapt, extend, modify, reproduce, decompile, reverse engineer, pass off as your own creation, or otherwise create derivative works of any Mods or any material part of them except to the extent reasonably necessary to use the Mod for its intended purpose as set out in the documentation which accompanies the Mod.
You agree to indemnify us and our affiliates from and against losses which we and they suffer as a result of your infringement of the IP Rights and any infringement of the IP Rights by any third parties caused by your breach of these terms.
Our trade marks are registered
"Feed the Beast", "FTB", "StoneBlock" and the FTB logo (below) are UK registered trade marks of Feed the Beast Ltd. You are not permitted to use them without our approval.
YOUR OBLIGATIONS
You agree that you shall not:
use the Mods for commercial purposes, excluding for Streaming, Recording Videos, or Hosting servers; or
seek to disable, circumvent or interfere with any access-control measures or copy-control measures which are designed to protect or limit the use of the Mods; or
use the Mod in order to build a product or service which competes with it; or
use the Mod to provide services to third parties.

If you are a consumer, please note that these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland. If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
