A Look Ahead (and a look back)

As we bid adieu to 2023, it's time to reminisce about the incredible journey we've had at Feed The Beast. This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, marked by innovation, creativity, and a commitment to delivering top-tier experiences to our community of gamers and mod enthusiasts.

At the heart of our mission is our passion for crafting immersive modpacks that cater to the diverse interests of our players. From collaborations with content creators, like Direwolf and Abe, to immersive worlds like Genesis and Arcanum Institute, as well as more unique modpacks catered to those new to Minecraft such as University, our aim has been to offer packs that truly showcase the dedication and skill of our team.

And if there's one thing that warms our hearts, it's the overwhelming response from our incredible player community. The millions of downloads and the continuous stream of positive feedback we receive every day are a testament to the enjoyment and satisfaction you've found in our packs. Your support and enthusiasm mean the world to us and drive us to push the boundaries further. We're genuinely grateful for every download, every comment, and every moment you've spent adventuring with us.

And we're working hard to continue to support the packs you love. We've closed over 1600 modpack related issues across all of our packs this year. We've also closed nearly 300 issues with your favorite utility mods like FTB Quests, Chunks, Teams, and more!

We grew a lot this year as a company, too. We've also expanded our pack dev team with the addition of ArtpokeBR to help complement our existing lineup of developers: Sunekaer, Saereth, TheOnlyTazz, Dinnerbeef, Unrealdinnerbone, and Aaron Howser. We brought Desht onto the team a little more than a year ago, too. Most famously known for Pneumaticraft: Repressurized, Modular Routers, and many other projects in the Modded MC Community. Over the past year, he's really had a chance to show some of what he's capable of, by continuing to port all of our mods onto new versions of forge, fabric (and now, neoforge) as well as continuing to bug fix, add new features and even cook up custom mods when needed to bring new functionality for modpack developers.

Looking ahead to 2024, we're excited to build upon this foundation of support and creativity. We'll be continuing strong in 2024! We already have SEVEN new packs planned; At least two Heavy Progression/Expert packs three Thematic Questing Packs A new pack focusing on a custom map with timed challenges, and Something Special for all of you who just love to build andddd...... perhaps a return of one of the old favorites in a new era of modded!

And guess what? There's more in store! We're working on some awesome upgrades and tweaks within the FTB App slated for next year. Mikey has been working hard to fix issues (over 140 this year alone!), and continue improving it, all the while simultaneously completely overhauling the launcher, so that it is no longer reliant on overwolf. We are excited to eventually replace our existing launcher with this version as soon as it's ready.

So, gear up and get ready to be part of this thrilling journey ahead! We're all about innovation, camaraderie, and pushing the boundaries within the Feed The Beast universe. Here's to an amazing 2024 together!
